In 2014, Elise moved back to Los Angeles after four years of living in Dubai. While in the Middle East she was influenced by the geometric arabesque motifs of the culture. Her large-scale oil paintings are a contemporary interpretation of the designs common in Middle Eastern architecture. By juxtaposing traditional arabesque patterns with vibrant colors the interplay of images creates a multi-dimensional perspective.
