woven copper, steel, brass and aluminum

My earliest creative roots are in fiber, shaped by my grandmother’s treadle sewing machine. Today, I return to those origins, working with a foot-operated weaving loom. While my process is traditional, my approach is experimental—I push the limits of fiber by integrating metal wire and paint. My work explores the tension between strength and fragility, blending textile and sculpture. The movement of the wire creates unexpected patterns and textures, resulting in intricate, dynamic surfaces that challenge the conventional boundaries of woven fabric.
